We’re asking all residents to help protect the health of our lakes by not feeding the geese. Feeding them causes large flocks to gather, increases bacteria and waste in the water, and contributes to harmful algae growth - similar to the issues we faced last summer. Our goal remains to avoid the algae bloom that occurred in 2024.

 

Canadian geese produce a significant amount of waste each day, and when they’re fed, they stay longer, multiply faster, and concentrate around feeding spots. This leads to water quality problems and potential health risks for people and pets.

 

Please help us keep the lakes clean and safe by avoiding feeding geese and by discouraging them from gathering on your property.
